Porches & Outdoors

Things I like:

This outdoor shower. With instructions on how to build one yourself!

The brightly painted, colored wicker. Cute!

The white porch swing! Isn't it divine?

Living Rooms

Things I like:

This funky wallpaper from blonderhome.com. Thanks Oprah!

The fabric storage bins in the dresser. For toys? Books?

This funky, reupholstered danish modern chair--like I'm going to do!

Bedrooms

Things I like:

The way these beds function as beds and day beds they way they are aligned in the room. The bolsters and pillows and bedskirts. The contrast between the blue and white beds and the wicker basket and woven rug.

How calm and soothing this room looks. The pale neutrals.

Just how soothing this room looks.

The blue and white, nautical combo, especially with the dark bedside tables (because I have a lot of dark, vintage furniture!)

The way the stools function as bedside tables!

Bathrooms

Things I like:

This brightly colored subway tile contrasting with the white paint, tub, molding and door. The cute, vintage-y way the rod extends.

Beadboard. Pedestal sinks. (But they aren't very practical.)

Kitchens

Things I like:

Beautiful glossy backsplash tiles

IKEA cabinets in kitchen. Supposed to be excellent bang for your buck!

White cabinets and dark counters. Especially soapstone. L-shaped, "islandy" kitchens. Shaker cabinets.

Little desk areas, especially in a small space to do double duty.

This bright, painted table. Mismatched chairs.

Checkerboard floors.

This round, brightly colored table.

This black and white kitchen with checkerboard floors.

Another white and black kitchen. Cabinets and laminate counter from Lowes. Sink from IKEA. Pendants from Lowes.

Marmoleum Click flooring. It's DIY linoleum. Reminds me of saying marmelade.

Beach Baybee

For right now, I'm just going to use this blog to collect ideas for inspiration.

I'm liking a fabric like this for recovering the old sofas and chair.

But I'm also drawn to something like this too.

This lamp from JC Penney. $69 dollars. Much cheaper than the others I've seen.
